Nautical artifacts are commonly found in a tiki bar, but what about if a tiki bar is on a boat? This is The Pau Hana Lounge. It’s a tiki bar that was built inside one of the passenger decks of “On the Hiyu”. On the Hiyu is a restored ferryboat from 1967 that Jeff Wilson and David Crellin restored and repurposed into a floating arts and entertainment venue. The Aloha House Apartments – Lake City (Seattle) WA
Tiki apartments were the rage back in the sixties during the height of the Tiki craze. Sadly most of these buildings were de-tikified, or left to disrepair as Tiki became an afterthought going into the 70’s and 80’s.
